Give thanks y'all for posting your query in Windows 10 Technical Preview.
I understand that y'all want to get a feature which allows you to change the transparency in Taskbar and Windows Edge.
You will be able to change the colour intensity for Championship bar and Windows edge, but unfortunately this is non available for Taskbar.
Please follow the steps below to change the colour intensity:
- Press Windows central + R
- Type Control
- Click on Appearance and Personalization
- Click on Change the colour of your taskbar and window borders
- Select the color and change the intensity

I would like to adjust TRANSPARENCY not INTENSITY. For instance, I would like to adjust the transparency of the showtime bill of fare, to reveal the desktop photo behind it, as in the image below.

Hi,
as far as I know, the transparency characteristic is not nowadays as well as Aero. Information technology is a much requested feature, but not currently present in Windows x. There are many posts around the forum, request for, lament from the lack of them and discussing these matters.

Did Microsoft get rid of transparent windows?! Seriously?! Who was the "genius" ui designer that chose this option? lol wow. Yes let's get backwards in design and appearances! Get ready to be fabricated fun of Microsoft - by a ton of people. The 9926 design choices are already beingness laughed at as terribly ugly, non functional and almost bear a toy similar blueprint which does not bode well for Microsoft's reputation.. Bad motion guys. I hope they make Windows ten final expect better than this because right now, information technology looks kind of ridiculous. As well the commencement bill of fare doesn't piece of work well. The search box popping upwardly right adjacent to the start button is a terrible location selection. Come on Microsoft! In that location have got to be better UI designers out there with better ideas than this! Low customization options, astern thinking designing, windows update option- gone, smooth functionality in user experience- confusing, forced to sign into a microsoft account for key features- very Apple like of MS. MS needs to work to it's strengths - Choice, customization, options.. not become however some other Apple clone battle anybody in to a controlled environment. I promise this matter turns out better but am really starting to wonder. Permit's see.. graphics and processing power accept quadrupled over the years in advancements, yet Microsoft wants to put out an operating organization that looks simple, plain, and looks like it could be designed more for kids? Come up on.. Ubuntu looks better than this. I do non desire to have to describe Windows 10 to people I know equally "It's not Terrible..." lol
I WANT to exist able to say Windows 10 is Crawly and LOOKS & WORKS Keen!

I personally doubt that they will change the UI any time shortly., if at all. As Microsoft guys are trying to unify the Bone beyond all devices, they will most probably use that same GUI. I do not run into the Aero themes and transparency to be useful on Windows mobile device. So that's my approximate for that backward design. Information technology has to exist compatible with tablets. phones, etc. The consequence-no Aero, transparency, flat windows in the explorer, etc...
I do non think they are building Apple like controlled surroundings, but more like the Android one. But it is obvious that they are definitely building a type of controlled environment. But time will tell what exactly its type would be.

It has to be compatible with tablets. phones, etc. The result-no Aero, transparency, flat windows in the explorer, etc...
for that reason information technology should configurable by users.
for example in mobile devices, tranparency or aero effects can be disabled by default to save battery, simply users can enable it manually in options if the want.
everything configurable will make users happy.

i exercise not think yous can change with in windows but at that place is tertiary political party application to add transparency back to win10 http://www.glass8.eu/download.html i have tested it on build 9879

And then the people who practise existent work and need to produce results are to be constrained to the environs that a ten year former would employ? Is Windows x a train wreck doomed to be Vista iii.0? With Vista i.0 they over reached with their promises and delivered something bigger and worse than what it was supposed to replace. Vista 2.0 (Windows 8) was and so poorly implemented information technology had to exist forced upon everyone. At present Vista 3.0 (Windows x) is in the making by combining a serious overreach mistake with poor implementation. No practiced tin come from this.
Interestingly, inside each of the three Vista versions there were some very good things subconscious nether the hood. Some/many of them appear to be living inside Windows ten. Now if but Microsoft could understand that there is a very real difference between the needs of people who do existent work and those who but desire to wear a watch that talks to them. The same OS cannot in any way embrace that range of requirements without sacrificing capability for everyone.
The basic rule is the task sets the requirements of the tools to be used. Microsoft is trying to design 1 tool that can practice everything for everyone and volition end up making everyone very unhappy because it won't do anything very well.

Well, hopefully nosotros can rest assured that this 9926 build is simply an "Early BUILD!!" as Joe Belfiorie (SP?) said numerous times on stage the other day...
